Scheme Will Be Rolled Out in 4 Phases

The Social Justice and Empowerment Department has prepared the scheme to launch in four phases. In the first phase, financially weaker women will be covered—especially those who are BPL cardholders (annual income below ₹1.80 lakh) and ration card holders. There are nearly 46 lakh ration card holders in Haryana, and the government may prioritize women from families listed in the PPP (Parivar Pehchan Patra) database whose income is less than ₹1 lakh per annum.

Women who are employed, receiving pensions, or already availing other government financial schemes will not be eligible in the first phase. This includes widows or separated women who are already receiving family pension or widow pension. According to estimates, nearly 8.5 lakh such women receive pension in the state.

Final Target: 75 Lakh Women Beneficiaries

Across all four phases, the Haryana Government aims to cover up to 75 lakh women aged between 18 to 60 years. The second, third, and fourth phases will gradually include women who fall under additional criteria defined by the government. The complete framework for all phases is being prepared by the Social Justice and Empowerment Department.

Minister Krishan Bedi, who is overseeing the rollout, confirmed that the plan has been finalized and implementation is in advanced stages. He stated that money will be transferred directly into the hands of women to help them run their households better and improve their quality of life.

  • Women currently in government or private employment
