Free Resume Maker – Create a Professional CV in Minutes

Build a clean, professional resume without any design skills or software. Fill in your details, choose a design, and download your resume as a PDF or an editable Word file. It’s ready to send to employers, upload to job portals, or print for an interview.

This free resume maker works for everyone: freshers looking for their first job, students applying for internships, experienced professionals changing jobs, and anyone who needs a simple biodata. There’s no sign-up, no watermark and no hidden charges. Your details stay on your own device and are never uploaded anywhere.

How to Make Your Resume

  1. Fill in your details. Add your name, contact details, education, work experience, skills and anything else you want to include. Each section opens with a single tap.
  2. Choose a design. Pick from Modern, Classic or Simple, then select a colour, font and text size.
  3. Check the live preview. Every change appears instantly in the preview, which also shows how many pages your resume takes.
  4. Download. Click Download PDF and choose Save as PDF in the print window, or click Download Word to get an editable file.

Not sure where to start? Click Fill with example to see a complete sample resume, then replace it with your own details.

Three Professional Resume Designs

  • Modern: a coloured header with your photo and a side column for skills, languages and personal details. Great for most jobs and a strong first impression.
  • Classic: a centred, traditional layout with neat section lines. Ideal for banking, teaching, government and office jobs.
  • Simple: a clean, minimal layout with no boxes or chips. Best for companies that use resume-scanning software, and for anyone who prefers a plain look.

You can change the colour of any design, choose a Modern, Clean or Traditional font, and pick Compact, Normal or Large text. Use Compact if you want to fit everything on one page.

Everything You Can Add to Your Resume

  • Personal information: name, job title, phone, email, city, LinkedIn and website
  • Photo (optional)
  • Profile summary
  • Work experience, including internships and training, with as many jobs as you need
  • Education, with your degree, college or school, university or board, year and marks or CGPA
  • Skills, languages, and hobbies & interests
  • Projects, and certificates & courses
  • Achievements
  • Personal details (biodata): father’s name, date of birth, gender, marital status, nationality and address
  • Declaration, with place and date

You can show or hide any section, and empty sections are left out automatically, so your resume always looks complete.

Resume Format for Freshers

If you don’t have work experience yet, focus on what you do have:

  • A short profile summary that says what kind of job you’re looking for and what you’re good at.
  • Education as your main section, starting with your highest qualification.
  • Skills such as computer skills, typing speed, languages and software you know.
  • Projects, internships, training and certificates. These show practical ability, even without a job.
  • Achievements from college, school, sports or competitions.

Leave the Work experience section empty and it won’t appear on your resume.

Biodata Format with Personal Details and Declaration

Some jobs, especially in government offices, schools, banks and smaller companies, still ask for a biodata-style resume with personal details and a signed declaration. Turn on Personal details and Declaration in the Design tab to add your father’s name, date of birth, marital status and a standard declaration with place and date. For private company jobs, you can switch these sections off.

PDF or Word: Which Should You Download?

  • PDF is best for sending to employers and uploading to job portals. It looks the same on every phone and computer. The text in your PDF stays real text, so resume-scanning software used by many companies can read it.
  • Word is best if you want to make further changes in Microsoft Word or a similar app later.

Tips to Make Your Resume Stand Out

  • Keep it short: one page is ideal for freshers, and two pages for experienced candidates.
  • Use a professional email address, ideally based on your name.
  • Write one point per line in work experience, starting with an action word such as “Managed”, “Prepared” or “Handled”.
  • Add numbers where you can, such as “Handled 60+ client accounts” or “Typing speed 40 WPM”.
  • Tailor your summary and skills to the job you’re applying for.
  • Check spelling and dates carefully before downloading.
  • Use a clear, recent photo only if the job asks for one. Many private companies prefer resumes without photos.

Your Details Stay Private

This resume maker works entirely inside your browser. Your name, phone number, address and other details are never uploaded to any server. They’re saved only on your own device, so you can close the page and continue editing later. To clear everything, click Start new.

Only if the job or employer asks for it; many private companies prefer resumes without photos, while some government and biodata formats include one. You can show or hide the photo with one tap.

How many pages should my resume be?

One page is best for freshers and early-career candidates. Two pages are fine if you have several years of experience. The live preview shows your page count, and you can use Compact text size to fit more on one page.

What is the difference between a resume, CV, and biodata?

A resume is a short summary of your skills, education, and experience, usually 1–2 pages. A CV (curriculum vitae) is often longer and more detailed, and is common in academic and research jobs. In India, the words resume and CV are often used for the same thing. A biodata also includes personal details such as date of birth, father’s name, and marital status. This tool can create all three.
