Haryana Police SPO Recruitment 2026: The Telecommunication Wing of Haryana Police has officially released a press notice for the engagement of 400 Special Police Officers (SPOs) under Section 21 of the Haryana Police Act, 2007. This engagement is open to ex-servicemen of the Armed Forces/ Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) and ex-Constables of the disbanded Haryana State Industrial Security Force (HSISF)/ Haryana Armed Police (HAP) Battalions. There is no separate online application window for this drive — eligible candidates have to appear in person along with their documents on the date fixed for their district, and the district-wise document submission schedule runs from 24 August 2026 to 27 August 2026.
This is a one-year engagement (extendable till regular appointments are made) and is purely document-verification based — there’s no written or physical test involved, so if you’re an ex-serviceman with the right background, this is a fairly quick route into the Haryana Police Telecommunication Wing. Age Limit, Vacancy Details, and Qualification
Age Limit: The age limit for Haryana Police SPO Recruitment 2026 is 25-50 Years. The age is calculated as on the date of advertisement. (Use Age Calculator). Age Relaxation will be given as per the rules.

Other Eligibility Conditions:
- Candidate must be an ex-serviceman of the Armed Forces/CAPFs, or an ex-Constable of the disbanded HSISF/HAP Battalions.
- Minimum service in the Armed Forces/CAPFs should be 5 years.
- Should not have been removed/dismissed from service on grounds of indiscipline, misconduct, or medical unfitness.
- Medical category at the time of discharge should be ‘A’.
- Character certificate at the time of discharge should be ‘Exemplary/Outstanding’.
- Preference will be given to candidates with telecommunication equipment handling experience, especially those who served in the Signal Corps.
Haryana Police SPO Recruitment 2026 Selection Process
The selection process for Haryana Police SPO Recruitment 2026 includes the following stages:

- Character & Antecedent Verification
- 15-Day Capsule Training Course (post-selection)
Note: No written or physical test will be conducted for this engagement.
Salary, Allowances and Benefits
- Monthly Honorarium: Rs. 20,000/- (credited directly to the SPO’s bank account, no cash disbursement)
- Uniform Allowance: One-time Rs. 3,000/- for two sets of uniform, shoes, insignia, cap/lanyard, etc.
- TA/DA on Official Tour: Rs. 150/- per day
- Casual Leave: As applicable to Constables of Haryana Police
- Ex-Gratia Compensation:
- Death in action: Rs. 10 Lakh
- Permanent disability: Rs. 1-3 Lakh
- Grave injury: Up to Rs. 1 Lakh
- Natural death: Rs. 3 Lakh
- SPOs will not be posted at their home police station, but preference is given to the home district subject to availability of posts.
- SPOs can be deployed anywhere in Haryana during emergent situations for short durations.
