Coal India MT Recruitment 2026 Notification Out for 660 Posts Advt 03/2026, Apply Online from 12 May

Coal India MT Recruitment 2026: Coal India Limited (CIL) has released the official notification Advt. No. 03/2026 for the recruitment of 660 Management Trainees (MT) in different disciplines under E-1 Grade. The recruitment will be done through a Computer-Based Test (CBT). Interested and eligible candidates can apply online through the official website of Coal India Limited coalindia.in. The Coal India MT Recruitment 2026 Notification has been released on 6 May 2026, and the online applications are invited from 12 May 2026 to 11 June 2026.

Coal India Limited is a Maharatna Public Sector Undertaking under the Ministry of Coal, Government of India. According to the notification, the company contributes around 75% of the total coal production in India and has approximately 2.12 lakh employees.

Application Fee

The application fee includes ₹1000 application fee plus applicable GST of ₹180. Fee payment will be accepted through online mode only.

Age Limit, Vacancy Details, and Qualification

Age Limit: The upper age limit is 30 years as on 30 April 2026 for General and EWS category candidates (Use Age Calculator). Age Relaxation will be given as per the rules.

The selection of candidates will be based on the Computer-Based Online Test (CBT) only. No interview will be conducted for the final selection.

CBT Exam Pattern

Important Details About CBT

• The duration of the exam will be 3 hours in one sitting.
• Each paper will carry 100 marks.
• Each paper will have 100 MCQ questions.
• Each question will carry 1 mark.
• There will be no negative marking.
• The question paper will be bilingual in English and Hindi.
• Qualifying Marks:
  • General/ EWS: 40 Marks
  • OBC (NCL): 35 Marks
  • SC/ ST/ PWD: 30 Marks

Salary Details

Selected candidates will be appointed as Management Trainees in E-1 Grade in the pay scale of ₹60,000 – ₹1,80,000 with initial basic pay of ₹60,000 per month during the training period. After successful completion of one year of training cum probation, candidates will be confirmed in E-1 Grade as Officer (Discipline).

Apart from basic pay, selected candidates will also get Dearness Allowance, HRA, perquisites, allowances, Performance Related Pay (PRP), medical facilities, CMPF, CMPS, gratuity, and pension benefits as per company rules.

Service Agreement Bond

Selected candidates will have to serve the company for a minimum period of 60 months from the date of joining. Candidates will also have to execute a service agreement bond of ₹3 lakh at the time of joining. A sum of ₹5000 per month will be deducted from salary towards bond money and refunded without interest after successful completion of 60 months of service.
