Physical Standards & Endurance Tests (PET / PMT)

• Fireman Physical Standards:
  • Height: 165 cm (2.5 cm concession for ST category)
  • Chest: 81.5 cm unexpanded, 85 cm expanded
  • Weight: Minimum 50 kg
  • Endurance Test: 1.6 Km run in 6 minutes (08 min 26 sec for Females), carrying a person of 63.5 kg for 183 meters within 96 seconds, clearing a 2.7 m wide ditch, and climbing 3 meters vertical rope.
• Tradesman Mate Physical Endurance Test:
  • 1.5 Km Run: 6 minutes for General males; 8 min 26 sec for Females.
  • Weight Carrying: 50 kg weight carrying to a distance of 200 meters in 100 seconds (225 seconds for Females).

The written test consists of objective-type multiple-choice questions (150 questions, 150 marks, 2 Hours duration) with 0.25 negative marking per wrong answer:
