Army Agniveer Selection Process 2026: The Indian Army conducts Agniveer recruitment under the Agnipath Scheme through a strictly merit-based and transparent system. The entire selection procedure is conducted in two phases: Phase I (Online Common Entrance Examination) and Phase II (Recruitment Rally). 📝 Phase I – Online Common Entrance Examination (CEE)

The Online CEE is the first stage of recruitment. Only candidates who qualify this stage are shortlisted for the Recruitment Rally.

• Aadhaar authentication mandatory
• No electronic gadgets allowed

🔹 Question Type

• Conducted in 13 languages: English, Hindi, Malayalam, Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Punjabi, Odiya, Bengali, Urdu, Gujarati, Marathi, and Assamese

🔹 Marking System

• Full marks for every correct answer
• Zero marks for unattempted questions
• All attempted questions are evaluated (even if marked for review)
• Marks are normalized to account for difficulty variation across sessions

🔹 Typing Test (Only for Clerk / Store Keeper Technical)

Candidates applying for Agniveer Clerk / Store Keeper Technical must qualify:

• Typing speed of 30 words per minute (English)
• Conducted during Online CEE
• Only qualified candidates are called for Phase II

Unfair means at the exam centre lead to the cancellation of candidature.

📢 Shortlisting After CEE

After declaration of results:

• Cut-off is applied as per vacancies
• Roll numbers of shortlisted candidates are published
• Second Admit Card issued for Recruitment Rally

Only shortlisted candidates proceed to Phase II.

🏃 Phase II – Recruitment Rally

Phase II consists of:

  1. Physical Fitness Test (PFT)
  2. Physical Measurement Test (PMT)
  3. Medical Examination
  4. Document Verification

Each stage must be cleared to move forward.

🏥 Medical Examination

Candidates clearing PFT and PMT undergo a medical examination by the Army Medical Team.

Important medical rules:

• Army medical standards apply
• Underweight/Overweight candidates screened again
• 21 days allowed for Review Medical
• No contact lenses permitted
• No appeal after the Review Medical
• Passing medical does not guarantee final selection

Medical re-examination may be conducted if 270 days or more have lapsed before dispatch.

📂 Document Verification

Shortlisted candidates must produce original documents, including:

• Admit Card
• Aadhaar Card
• 20 passport size photographs
• Education certificates (Matric/Intermediate/ITI, etc.)
• Domicile / Nativity Certificate
• Caste Certificate (if applicable)
• Religion Certificate (if required)
• Police Character Certificate
• School Character Certificate
• Unmarried Certificate
• NCC / Sports Certificates (if claiming bonus)
• Affidavit on Rs 10 Non-Judicial Stamp Paper
• PAN Card and Aadhaar for final enrolment

Candidates without proper documents are not allowed to participate.

Bonus marks are awarded for eligible candidates and are used for final merit preparation.
