Army SSC Tech 66th Recruitment 2025 Notification: The Indian Army invites applications from eligible unmarried Male and Female Engineering Graduates, as well as Widows of Indian Armed Forces Defence Personnel who died in harness, for the grant of Short Service Commission (SSC) in the Indian Army. This is a unique opportunity to serve the nation as an officer. The 66th Short Service Commission (Tech) Course is set to commence in April 2026 at the Pre-Commissioning Training Academy (PCTA).

Army SSC Tech 66th Recruitment 2025 Eligibility Criteria

Nationality: A candidate must either be a citizen of India, or a subject of Nepal, or a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, and East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India. A certificate of eligibility from the Government of India is required for some, but not for Gorkha subjects of Nepal.

Age Limit (as on April 01, 2026):

• For SSC (Tech) – 66 Men & SSCW (Tech) – 66 Women: 20 to 27 years (Candidates born between April 01, 1999, and March 31, 2006, both days inclusive).
• For Widows of Indian Armed Forces Defence Personnel who Died in Harness (SSCW (Non-Tech) & SSCW(Tech)): A maximum of 35 years.

Educational Qualification:

• For Male & Female Engineering Graduates (SSC Tech): Candidates must have passed the requisite Engineering Degree course or be in the final year of the Engineering Degree course. Proof of passing the Engineering Degree Examination with mark sheets of all semesters/years must be submitted by April 01, 2026. Final year candidates whose final year/semester exam is scheduled after April 01, 2026, are not eligible. The cumulative percentage of marks up to the final semester/year must not be less than the approved cut-off percentage.
• For Widows of Indian Armed Forces Defence Personnel who Died in Harness:
  • SSCW (Non Tech) (Non UPSC): Graduation in any Discipline.
  • SSCW (Tech): B.E. / B. Tech in any Engineering stream.

Important Notes on Qualification:

• Any variation in the nomenclature of the engineering stream between the degree parchment/mark sheet and the online application will result in cancellation of candidature.
• Final semester/year studying candidates will be provisionally allowed to appear in SSB subject to specific conditions related to their cumulative percentage of marks.

Army SSC Tech 66th Recruitment 2025 Selection Process

The selection process for both male and female candidates primarily involves:
