Haryana Govt Holiday Calendar 2026 Released: Complete List of Public Holidays for State Offices

Haryana Govt Holiday Calendar 2026: The Haryana Government has officially released the Haryana Government Holiday Calendar 2026 through a notification issued by the Human Resources Department. As per this notification, the holidays listed in different schedules will be observed as public holidays in all government offices under the Haryana Government during the calendar year 2026. These holidays are applicable to state government offices, boards, corporations, and public sector undertakings, except where specifically mentioned otherwise.

The notification clearly classifies holidays into Gazetted Holidays, Restricted Holidays, Holidays under the Negotiable Instruments Act, and Special Days. Among these, Gazetted Holidays are mandatory public holidays for government offices.

In addition to the above, all Sundays and all Saturdays will be observed as holidays in Haryana Government offices during 2026.

The notification also clarifies that certain festivals falling on closed days have been excluded from the list of public holidays. Separate provisions have been made for Restricted Holidays, where employees may choose a limited number of holidays, and for Special Days, which are observed without declaring a public holiday.

The Haryana Government Holiday Calendar 2026 will help government employees, students, and citizens plan official work, exams, and travel well in advance. Departments are expected to strictly follow this notified holiday schedule throughout the year.
