HPTET 2026 Notification Out: Apply Online, Check Exam Schedule, Eligibility, Apply Link & All Details

HPTET 2026: The Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education (HPBOSE), Dharamshala, has officially released the Himachal Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (HPTET) June 2026 Notification for various teaching eligibility tests. As per the notice dated 28 April 2026, the board will conduct the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) for multiple subjects, including TGT, JBT, Shastri, Language Teachers, and Special Educators. Candidates who want to become teachers in Himachal Pradesh can apply online within the given dates. The HPTET 2026 Notification has been released on 30 April 2026, and the applications are invited from 30 April to 15 May 2026.

The application process will be conducted online through the official website of HPBOSE, and candidates are advised to complete the form before the last date to avoid late fees.

Minimum Eligibility Criteria (Post-wise)

The detailed eligibility is clearly mentioned in the prospectus. Here is a simplified understanding:

TGT (Arts / Medical / Non-Medical)

• Graduation/Post Graduation with minimum 50% marks
• B.Ed / Integrated B.Ed / B.El.Ed (as applicable)

TGT (Hindi / Sanskrit)

• Graduation/ Post-Graduation in a relevant subject
• B.Ed or equivalent qualification

JBT (Primary Teacher)

• 10+2 with 50% + D.El.Ed / JBT
• OR Graduation + D.El.Ed

Punjabi & Urdu Teacher

• Graduation with a respective language
• B.Ed or Diploma in Education

Special Educator

• Graduation or 10+2 + Special Education qualification
• Must have RCI registration

Important: If you want to apply for multiple TET subjects, you must fill out separate forms and pay separate fees.

Qualifying Marks

The paper will be bilingual (Hindi & English) except for language subjects.

Structure of Exam (Brief)

• Child Development & Pedagogy
• General Awareness (including Himachal GK)

The level of questions can go up to 10+2 or the graduation level, depending on the post.

Validity & Attempts

• TET Certificate Validity: Lifetime
• No restriction on the number of attempts
• You can reappear to improve your score

Age Limit

• No upper age limit for applying in HPTET
• Age conditions will be checked at the time of recruitment
