NATA 2026 Notification Out: Check Exam Dates, Eligibility, Exam Pattern & How to Apply

NATA 2026 Exam: The Council of Architecture (CoA), Ministry of Education, Government of India, has released an important public notice for NATA 2026 (National Aptitude Test in Architecture). This national level entrance examination is conducted every year for admission into the first year of the 5-Year Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) programme offered by architecture colleges across India. Students who want to build a career in architecture must qualify NATA 2026 Entrance Exam to secure admission through centralized counselling conducted by various admission authorities.

As per the official notice, the NATA 2026 exam will be conducted from 4 April 2026 to 13 June 2026 at CoA approved test centres across India. The exam will be held every Friday and Saturday during this period. Candidates will be allowed to appear maximum two attempts during this phase. Additionally, an extra examination will be conducted on 7 August and 8 August 2026 for candidates who did not appear in the earlier phase.

NATA 2026 Application Fees

The NATA application fee is charged per test attempt, and candidates must pay the fee online while submitting the application form. The General and OBC-NCL candidates are required to pay ₹1,750 per test, while SC, ST, EWS, and PwD candidates need to pay ₹1,250 per test. For transgender candidates, the application fee is ₹1,000 per test. Candidates who are applying from outside India must pay ₹15,000 per test.

If a candidate chooses to appear in two attempts of the NATA exam, the combined fee becomes ₹3,250 for General/OBC candidates and ₹2,250 for SC/ ST/ EWS/ PwD candidates. The application fee must be paid through online payment methods such as net banking, debit card, or credit card during the registration process.

Eligibility Criteria for NATA 2026

Candidates who want to appear in the NATA 2026 Architecture Entrance Exam must fulfill the following eligibility conditions.

Educational Qualification

• Candidates must have passed or appearing in 10+2 examination with Physics, Mathematics, and one approved subject.

OR

• Candidates who have completed 10+3 Diploma with Mathematics are also eligible.

Minimum Marks Requirement

• Candidates must secure at least 45% aggregate marks in the qualifying examination.
