NVS Recruitment Rules 2026 Revised For Teaching and Non-Teaching Posts, Check What Has Changed

NVS Recruitment Rules 2026 Revised: Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS), under the Ministry of Education, Government of India, has officially notified the NVS Recruitment (Revised) Rules, 2026 for various Teaching and Non-Teaching posts. These revised rules have been issued after amendments to the earlier recruitment notifications dated 20.03.2025 and 08.12.2025. The new rules will come into force from the date of publication of the latest notification, while other terms and conditions mentioned in the earlier notifications will remain unchanged.

The revised recruitment rules cover a wide range of positions across NVS, including senior administrative roles like Assistant Commissioner (Academic) and Principal, various categories of Post Graduate Teachers (PGTs), Trained Graduate Teachers (TGTs), Special Educators, and Junior Secretariat Assistants under both HQ/RO cadre and JNV cadre. The amendments bring clarity to eligibility criteria, educational qualifications, age limits, pay levels, probation periods, and methods of recruitment such as direct recruitment, promotion, Limited Departmental Competitive Examination (LDCE), and deputation, depending on the post.

For teaching posts, the rules specify structured qualification requirements including recognized degrees, B.Ed. or integrated teacher education programs, and where applicable, CTET qualification. The recruitment methods vary subject-wise and post-wise, with defined percentages for direct recruitment and promotion. In several cases, promotion is linked to qualifying departmental examinations and availability of vacancies in the concerned subject or cadre.

For non-teaching posts such as Junior Secretariat Assistant, the revised rules clearly define educational qualifications, typing requirements, age limits, pay levels, and promotional avenues.
