Kendriya Vidyalaya (KVS) Admission 2026-27: Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) has officially released the Admission Notification for Academic Session 2026-27. The admission process will begin from 20 March 2026 for Class 1 and Balvatika classes through online mode. Parents who want to enroll their children in Kendriya Vidyalayas should carefully check the complete schedule, eligibility, and admission process before applying.

This year also, KVS will conduct admissions in online and offline modes depending on class availability, and strict verification of documents will be done to avoid fake admissions.

Eligibility Criteria (Age Limit)

Age calculation will be strictly based on 31 March 2026, and relaxation is applicable for special categories.

Admission Process (Class-wise)

Class 1 & Balvatika

• Admission will be done through online mode only
• Selection will be based on lottery system (draw of lots)
• Lists will be released in multiple rounds

Class 2 to 8

• Admission will be done offline only if seats are vacant
• Forms must be submitted in the respective KV school

Class 9 & 11

• Based on availability of seats
• Class 11 admission depends on Class 10 results

Reservation Criteria

KVS follows reservation as per Government norms:

• SC – 15%
• ST – 7.5%
• OBC (NCL) – 27%
• CwSN – 3% horizontal reservation

Priority Categories in Admission

Admission priority is given in the following order:

1. Children of Central Government employees
2. Children of PSU/Autonomous body employees
3. State Government employees
4. Other categories

Preference is also based on number of transfers in last 7 years.

Important Instructions for Parents

• Only online applications are accepted for Class 1
• Ensure all documents are correct; wrong details can lead to cancellation
• Admission is not guaranteed by registration alone
• Schools will publish vacancy details for higher classes before admission
• Document verification is strict and mandatory
