Indian Navy Agniveer MR (Musician) Recruitment 2026: The Indian Navy has released an official notification inviting online applications from unmarried male and female candidates for Agniveer MR (Musician) 02/2026 Batch. This is a great opportunity for candidates who have musical talent along with a basic educational qualification and want to serve in the Indian Navy. Important Dates

Application Fee

There is no official application fee mentioned in the notification. However, candidates applying through Common Service Centres (CSC) may need to pay ₹60 + GST as service charges.

Age Limit, Vacancy Details, and Qualification

Age Limit: Candidates must be born between 01 July 2004 and 31 December 2008 (both dates inclusive).

Musical Qualification

Candidates must have proficiency in music, including:

• Ability to sing one complete song with proper pitch and tempo
• Practical skill on any musical instrument
• Knowledge of notation, rhythm, and basic music theory

Candidates must also have valid music certificates (degree/ diploma/ grade/ competition certificates) for shortlisting.

Instrument Eligibility

Candidates can apply if they have expertise in instruments like:

• Keyboard, string, or wind instruments
• Indian or Western musical instruments

Note: Instruments like bugle, drums with indefinite pitch, or monotone instruments are not eligible.

Salary and Benefits

Selected candidates will receive:

• ₹30,000 per month starting salary (increasing yearly)
• Allowances such as risk, hardship, dress, and travel
• Seva Nidhi package approx ₹10 lakh after 4 years (combined contribution)
• ₹48 lakh life insurance cover

No pension or gratuity will be provided under this scheme.

Selection Process

The selection process includes multiple stages:

1. Shortlisting based on 10th marks
2. Physical Fitness Test (PFT)
3. Written Examination (50 MCQs)
4. Music Ability Test (final merit based on this)
5. Medical Examination

Final selection will be based on performance in the Music Ability Test only.

Physical Fitness Test (PFT)

Written Exam Pattern

The written exam will be:

• 50 MCQs (1 mark each)
• Based on Science, Mathematics & General Awareness
• Duration: 30 minutes
• Minimum qualifying marks: 25%

Medical Standards

• Minimum height: 157 cm (both male & female)
• Vision: 6/6 corrected
• Candidates must be physically and mentally fit
• Tattoos are allowed only on specific areas

Service Conditions

Candidates will serve for 4 years, and up to 25% may be selected for permanent enrolment based on performance and organizational requirements.
