The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released an important official statement regarding the alleged irregularities linked to the NEET UG 2026 examination after Rajasthan Special Operations Group (SOG) action made headlines across the country. The notice comes as lakhs of medical aspirants and parents remain worried about reports connected to possible exam malpractice.
According to NTA, the NEET UG 2026 exam, conducted on 3 May 2026, was held under strict security arrangements across all centres. The agency stated that question papers were transported using GPS-tracked vehicles with unique watermark identifiers. NTA also said that biometric verification, AI-assisted CCTV surveillance, and 5G jammers were used to maintain the security and integrity of the examination process.
The agency further revealed that on the evening of 7 May 2026, it received information regarding alleged malpractice activities connected to the exam. After receiving these inputs, NTA shared the matter with central agencies on 8 May 2026 for verification and further investigation. The testing agency confirmed that it is fully cooperating with investigating agencies and providing all required technical and examination-related support.

NTA also clarified that the investigation is still ongoing and no final conclusions should be drawn at this stage. The agency stated that any future action will be taken transparently and according to official procedures after the investigation is completed.
In the statement, NTA appealed to students and parents not to panic. The agency assured candidates that the hard work and honesty of genuine NEET aspirants will not be affected. NTA also said that any required decisions in the future will be taken in consultation with the Ministry of Education.
