NEET UG 2026 Dress Code and Permissible Items: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released an important public notice dated 18 June 2026 regarding the dress code and permissible items for candidates appearing in the NEET (UG) 2026 Re-Examination. The re-examination is scheduled to be conducted on 21 June 2026 at examination centres across the country.
Candidates appearing for the examination are advised to carefully follow the prescribed dress code and security instructions issued by NTA. The agency has also clarified the items that candidates are allowed to carry inside the examination hall and those that are strictly prohibited.

Permissible Items Inside Examination Centre
Candidates are allowed to carry the following items:

Dress Code Guidelines
- Light clothing is preferred for all candidates.
- Candidates wearing articles of faith should report to the examination centre well in advance.
- Candidates wearing full-sleeve garments or woollen clothing may be subjected to additional frisking procedures.
- Slippers and low-heeled footwear are recommended.
- Candidates wearing high-heeled footwear may undergo additional checks.
Security and Frisking Instructions
All candidates will be subjected to mandatory frisking before entering the examination hall. Candidates are advised to reach the examination centre at the scheduled reporting time to ensure smooth completion of security procedures and avoid unnecessary stress.
Failure to comply with the prescribed dress code and security guidelines may result in denial of entry to the examination centre.
