BSF Tradesman Recruitment 2025: The Border Security Force (BSF) has officially announced the recruitment of Constable (Tradesman) posts for the year 2024-25. This is an excellent opportunity for eligible male and female Indian citizens to serve in one of India’s elite paramilitary forces under the Ministry of Home Affairs.
The recruitment notice was published in the Employment Newspaper dated 26 July 2025, and candidates can apply online from 26 July to 23 August 2025. The application process is completely online via the official BSF website https://rectt.bsf.gov.in.
The posts are initially temporary, but likely to become permanent. Selected candidates will be placed in Pay Matrix Level-3 (₹21,700 – ₹69,100) along with other allowances as per Central Government rules.

Age Limit:
- 18 to 25 years as on the closing date (24 August 2025)
- Age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC and other categories as per Central Govt. norms
Educational Qualification:
- Cook, Water Carrier, Walter: Matric + NSQF Level Course in food production or kitchen from NSDC or recognized institute
- Carpenter, Plumber, Painter, Electrician, Pump Operator, Upholster:
- Matric + 2-year ITI in relevant trade
- OR 1-year ITI/Vocational course + 1-year experience
- Cobbler, Tailor, Washerman, Barber, Sweeper, Khoji/ Syce:
- Matriculation + Proficiency in trade + Must qualify Trade Test
