Haryana Special Education Teacher Recruitment 2026: The Haryana government has approved 1093 Special Education Teacher posts for specially-abled students studying in government schools across the state. These teachers will be recruited through a direct recruitment process to improve educational support for divyang children.

According to reports, around 12,827 specially-abled students are currently studying in Haryana government schools from Class 1 to 8. Out of the total approved posts, 713 vacancies are for Classes 1 to 5, while 380 posts are for Classes 6 to 8.

The Education Department has prepared a draft policy for recruitment, and the process may begin after cabinet approval. The recruitment plan has been prepared under the Right to Education Act 2009 and the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act 2016.

The government is also planning special training for teachers to help them teach students suffering from autism, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, and learning disabilities. Special modules may also be included in B.Ed and D.El.Ed courses.

At present, around 360 special teachers are already working in Haryana schools through different projects and agencies. Officials say the new recruitment will strengthen inclusive education and provide better learning support to divyang students in the state.
