SSC JHT Recruitment 2026: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has officially released the SSC Combined Hindi Translators Examination 2026 notification on 23 April 2026. This recruitment is being conducted for multiple Group ‘B’ Non-Gazetted posts, including Junior Hindi Translator (JHT), Junior Translation Officer (JTO), Senior Hindi Translator (SHT), and Senior Translation Officer (STO) in various Ministries and Departments of the Government of India. Age Limit (As on 01 August 2026)

Candidates must be between 18 and 30 years. This means applicants should be born between 02 August 1996 and 01 August 2008. Age relaxation is applicable as per government rules for reserved categories.

Educational Qualification

• 2–3 years of translation experience in government offices, depending on the post

SSC JHT Recruitment 2026 Selection Process

The selection will be done in two stages:

• Paper-I (Computer Based Test) – Objective type (General Hindi & English)
• Paper-II (Descriptive) – Translation + Essay

Final merit will be based on performance in both papers. There is a negative marking of 0.25 marks in Paper-I for each wrong answer.
