DSSSB Exam Instructions 2026 Out, Read These Rules Before Your CBT Exam

The Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board (DSSSB) has officially released the General Instructions for Online Computer Based Examinations (CBT) 2026. Entry Rules – Don’t Be Late

The reporting time and exam timing will be clearly mentioned on your e-Admit Card. No candidate will be allowed to enter the exam centre after the reporting time under any circumstances. Carry a printed e-Admit Card and original ID proof. Without these two documents, entry will be denied.

You are not allowed to carry pen or pencil because the pen will be provided by the Board at the centre.

Exam Pattern & Marking

The exam duration will be mentioned on the admit card. The paper will be bilingual (Hindi and English) wherever applicable, except language-specific sections.

There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for every wrong answer, so answer carefully.

Also, candidates will not be allowed to leave the examination hall before the exam time is over.

Important – Eligibility is Provisional

The Board has clearly mentioned that issuance of e-Admit Card does not confirm eligibility. Your candidature is purely provisional. If at any stage you are found ineligible, your candidature can be cancelled.

Prohibited Items – Strict Ban Inside Exam Centre

DSSSB has clearly stated that no candidate is allowed to carry prohibited items inside the centre. This includes:

• Mobile phones, Bluetooth devices, earphones, smart watches
• Calculators, written/printed material, pen drives
• Wallets, handbags, belts, caps
• Ornaments like rings, chains, earrings, bracelets
• Any metallic items
• Edible items and water bottles

There will be no facility to keep your belongings at the centre. If any candidate is found with prohibited items, it will be treated as use of unfair means and strict action will be taken.
