JEE Main 2026 Session 2 Answer Key, Response Sheet & Result Date: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially released an important notice regarding JEE Main 2026 Session 2, covering details about the exam conduct, answer key release, response sheets, and result date. As per the official update, the exam was successfully conducted across multiple dates in April 2026 in CBT mode with a massive number of candidates appearing across India and abroad.
The examination took place on 02, 04, 05, 06, 07, and 08 April 2026, and was conducted at around 566 centers in 304 cities in India and 14 cities abroad, with approximately 11.23 lakh candidates appearing. The NTA ensured smooth execution with proper coordination and technical support despite challenges in some regions.

Exam Statistics and Participation
For Paper 1 (B.E./B.Tech), around 11.06 lakh candidates registered in India and over 4,000 international candidates, with attendance close to 93%. Aadhaar authentication was successfully completed for around 97% candidates, ensuring transparency.
For Paper 2 (B.Arch/B.Planning), about 54,953 candidates registered domestically, with attendance around 73%.
Answer Key and Response Sheet
The Provisional Answer Key, along with the recorded responses of candidates, will be released on 11 April 2026. Candidates will be allowed to raise objections against the answer key by paying a processing fee of ₹200 per question within the given time window.
This step is important because it ensures transparency and gives candidates a fair opportunity to challenge discrepancies.
Result Declaration
As per the official notice, the JEE Main 2026 Session 2 Result is likely to be declared on 20 April 2026. The result will be prepared by considering the best score of candidates from both sessions, following NTA’s normalization policy.
