Journeyman posts need 10th pass plus an ITI (NTC/NAC) in the relevant trade, and the age limit is 26 years. Journeymen are engaged for 2 years of training on a stipend of Rs. 24,000 to Rs. 26,000 per month, and may then be absorbed in the Semi-Skilled grade. Driver (Vehicle) posts need 10th pass, a commercial LMV driving licence and 6 years of driving experience, with an age limit of 32 years. Selection is through a written test (held at Kolkata & Ranchi) followed by a practical (trade) test.

Age Limit: The age limit for GRSE Journeyman Recruitment 2026 is Maximum 26 Years for Journeyman and Maximum 32 Years for Driver (Vehicle). GRSE Journeyman Selection Process

The selection process for GRSE Journeyman Recruitment 2026 includes the following stages:

Shortlisting (if a large number of applications are received): based on ITI/NAC marks for Journeyman posts and on experience for Driver posts
Written Test (100 marks, 2 hours, MCQ, OMR based): 80 marks for trade subject and 20 marks for GK, General English, Reasoning & Numerical Ability
