BBMB Apprentice Recruitment 2026: Bhakra Beas Management Board (BBMB) has released two notifications to engage 65 apprentices under the Apprentices Act, 1961, for the session 2026-27. Advertisement No. 01/2026, dated 29 October 2026, is for 58 seats at the Canal Power House Circle, BBMB (P.W.), Nangal, for ITI holders (Fitter, Electrician, Lineman, Plumber, COPA, etc.), Diploma holders and Graduates (B.E./B.Tech, BA, B.Com, B.Sc). Applications for Nangal are open from 01 November 2026 to 30 November 2026. A second notification is for 7 Lineman apprentice seats at the Construction Division, BBMB, Dhulkote (Ambala City). Applications for Dhulkote open on 05 November 2026 on the NAPS portal.
There is no written exam. Selection is based on a merit list of marks in 10th and ITI (or 10th, 12th/Diploma and Graduation for graduate apprentices). The apprenticeship training lasts one year. ITI trade candidates apply on the NAPS portal (apprenticeshipindia.gov.in), and Graduate/Diploma candidates for Nangal apply on the NATS portal (nats.education.gov.in). 25% of the seats in each trade are given first to candidates with a residence certificate from the districts where the project/power station is located. Candidates who have already done an apprenticeship under the Apprentices Act can’t apply.

BBMB Apprentice Selection Process
The selection process for BBMB Apprentice Recruitment 2026 includes the following stages:
- Merit List from NAPS/NATS portal applications (no written exam)
- ITI Apprentices: 30% weightage to 10th marks + 70% to ITI marks
- Graduate Apprentices: 20% to 10th + 20% to 12th/Diploma (whichever is higher) + 60% to Graduation/Engineering marks
- 25% seats given first to local district residents, then state residents, then open merit
