JEE Main Session 2 Answer Key 2026: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially released the JEE Main Session 2 Answer Key 2026 on 11 April 2026. Along with the provisional answer key, candidates can now also check their response sheet (recorded responses) to estimate their expected scores before the final result. This is an important stage for all aspirants as it allows them to verify answers and raise objections if any discrepancy is found.
As per the latest update, candidates can access the answer key through the official website by logging in using their application number, password/date of birth. This answer key is provisional, meaning candidates are allowed to challenge it from 11 to 13 April 2026.

How to Check JEE Main Answer Key 2026
Candidates can follow these simple steps to download their answer key:
- Visit the official website: jeemain.nta.nic.in
- Click on the “JEE Main 2026 Session 2 Answer Key” link
- Login using the application number, password/ date of birth
- View your answer key and response sheet
- Download the PDF for future reference
The answer key helps students calculate their probable score before the official result is declared.
Response Sheet & Score Calculation
Along with the answer key, NTA has released the response sheet, which contains the answers marked by candidates during the exam. By comparing it with the official answer key, candidates can estimate their marks.
- Correct Answer: +4 marks
- Incorrect Answer: -1 mark
- Unattempted: 0 marks
This gives a fairly accurate idea of your expected percentile.
How to Challenge Answer Key
If a candidate finds any discrepancy in the answer key, they can challenge it online:

- Select the question(s) to challenge
- Upload supporting documents
- Pay ₹200 per question
The challenge fee is non-refundable, and objections without valid proof may be rejected. After reviewing all objections, NTA will release the final answer key, which will be used to prepare the results.
