Delhi Lakshmi Yojana 2026: The Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi (GNCTD) has officially notified the implementation of the Delhi Lakshmi Yojana (DLY). Formerly known as the “Mahila Samriddhi Yojana,” the updated scheme has been renamed and restructured to provide direct financial assistance to eligible women across the state. The Delhi Lado Lakshmi Yojana 2026 application is available online starting from 1 August 2026. Under this scheme, eligible females will get Rs. 2500/- per month.
Effective from August 1, 2026, the initiative aims to enhance decision-making power, promote financial autonomy, and boost self-esteem among women from low-income families.

👩👧👦 Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the Delhi Lakshmi Yojana, applicants must meet all of the following requirements:
- Age: Between 21 and 60 years as of the application date.
- Family Position: Must be the eldest eligible woman in the household unit.
- Residency: The applicant, her husband, or either parent must have resided in Delhi for at least 10 continuous years prior to applying.
- Voter Registration: Must be a registered voter in Delhi.
- Income Limit: Total annual family income must not exceed ₹2,50,000.
🚫 Exclusion Criteria (Who Cannot Apply?)
Applications will be rejected if the woman or her family falls under any of the following categories:
- Government / Pension Receivers: Women receiving central/state pensions, income tax payees, GST filers, or former/current government servants/public office holders.
- Children Count: Women who have more than three living children.
- High Electricity Consumption: Households consuming more than 2,400 units of electricity annually.
- Vehicle Ownership: Households owning a four-wheeler motor vehicle.
- Employment Status: Families with regular or contractual employees in government bodies, PSUs, or local bodies.
- Legal Record: Women with criminal antecedents.
💳 Payment Options: How Will Financial Assistance Be Delivered?
Beneficiaries can choose between two main modes for receiving their monthly ₹2,500 benefit:
Option 1: Split Benefit (CBDC + Deposit)
- ₹1,000 / month: Transferred directly to a CBDC (Central Bank Digital Currency) Wallet linked to a nationalized bank account for immediate spending.
- ₹1,500 / month: Deposited into a Recurring Deposit (RD) / Fixed Deposit (FD) account with a mandatory lock-in period until July 31, 2029.
🔒 Spending Restrictions: To prevent misuse, the CBDC Wallet includes a “Negative List.” Beneficiaries cannot spend these digital funds on restricted items such as alcohol, tobacco, gambling, betting, or lottery services.
Option 2: Full Savings Deposit
- ₹2,500 / month: The entire monthly sum is deposited into an RD/FD account with a lock-in period until July 31, 2029.
Note: Any matured RD/FD amount after 3 years will also be disbursed into the CBDC Wallet.
📋 Mandatory Family Requirements
When registering for the scheme, applicants must complete and verify specific family details:
- ID Verification: Provide ID details for all family members above 18 years.
- Education Tracking: All school-age children must be enrolled in recognized schools, providing APAAR ID numbers for children aged 3–18 years.
- Health & Vaccination: Provide ABHA (Ayushman Bharat Health Account) IDs for family members. All children must follow the standard government vaccination schedule (including the HPV vaccine for girls above 14).
- Maternal Care: Pregnant or lactating mothers must be registered on the POSHAN Tracker.
- Social Pledges: Complete online pledges for social causes such as “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam”, “Swachh Bharat”, or “No Single-Use Plastics”.
- Skill Development (Desirable): Registration with a local Self-Help Group (SHG) and undertaking skill training.
📝 How to Apply Online
Applications are open year-round through the official Delhi Lakshmi Yojana Portal:
- Register on the Portal: Enter demographic details and upload standard proof documents.
- Download QR Form: Print the pre-filled QR-coded application form.
- Get Representative Approval: Have the form duly signed and stamped by your area’s Member of Parliament (MP) or Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA).
- Upload & Submit: Re-upload the endorsed form to the portal and save the acknowledgment slip.
📅 Processing & Approval Timelines
- Monthly Cut-Off: The last day of every month serves as the cut-off date. Applications submitted on or before the cut-off date will be processed for benefits starting the following month, subject to approval.
- Grievances & Oversight: Applications are verified by District Project Management Units and approved by the District Level Approval, Monitoring and Grievance Redressal Committee (DLAMGRC) headed by the District Magistrate.
