HAL Recruitment 2026: Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) has scheduled the release of the written exam admit card for Design Trainees (DTs) and Management Trainees (MTs) under Advertisement No. HAL/CHRC-TM/RECT-02/2026. A total of 120 vacancy seats are available across various engineering disciplines (60 Design Trainees and 60 Management Trainees). The HAL DT and MT Recruitment 2026 written exam will be held on 5 and 6 September 2026. The written exam admit cards are scheduled to be released on 20 August 2026.
This recruitment drive provides an excellent career opportunity for young engineering graduates to join HAL, a Maharatna Public Sector Undertaking under the Ministry of Defence. HAL Recruitment 2026 Selection Process
The selection process for HAL Recruitment 2026 includes the following stages:

Examination Pattern & Syllabus Overview
The Online Computer Based Test will be of 2.5 hours duration (150 minutes) and will consist of 160 Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs) divided into three parts:
- Part – I: 20 MCQs on General Awareness.
- Part – II: 40 MCQs on English & Reasoning.
- Part – III: 100 MCQs on the concerned Engineering Discipline.
The test can be taken in Hindi or English. Final merit will be prepared by giving 85% weightage to the Online Test and 15% weightage to the Personal Interview. Candidates must secure at least 50% marks in each stage to qualify.
Service Agreement Bond
Selected candidates are required to execute a Service Agreement Bond to serve HAL for a period of 5 years (excluding the 52-week training period). In case of breach of agreement, candidates are liable to reimburse actual training expenses up to a maximum of Rs. 15,00,000/-.
