HSSC CET Exam Date 2026 For Group-C Mains and Group-D: Lakhs of candidates who cleared the Haryana CET (Common Eligibility Test) 2025 and applied for Group C Mains posts have been eagerly waiting for the HSSC Group C Mains exam date. The Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC) is going to conduct the Group-C Mains exams in September & October 2026. The HSSC CET Group-D Exam will be held in November 2026.

HSSC CET Group C Mains Exam: Proposed Date

According to the latest update from the Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC), Panchkula, the Commission has started preparations for the CET Group C Phase-2 Mains exam, which is proposed to be conducted in September or October 2026. Alongside this, the CET Group D exam is proposed for November 2026.

It’s important to note that these are proposed months, not confirmed dates. The official date, shift timings, and admit card release schedule will be announced separately by HSSC on its official website.

Exam Centres Being Finalised

For the CET Group C Phase-2 exam, HSSC has already written to the district magistrates of the following districts, seeking details of available examination centres:

• Ambala
• Panchkula
• Yamunanagar
• Kurukshetra
• Karnal
• Panipat

The Commission is also reportedly planning to hold exams on Saturdays and Sundays, over two days at a stretch, from August onward, so that Group C, Group D, and other departmental exams do not clash with one another.

A Look at the Numbers: Group D Applications Surge

While the spotlight is on Group C, it’s worth noting that the Haryana Group D exam is being held for the first time in nearly three years — the portal for Group D reopened after 2023. Interestingly, candidate participation has jumped this cycle sharply:

That’s an increase of roughly 1.50 lakh applicants compared to the last cycle — a clear sign of how competitive Group D recruitment has become in Haryana.
