UPESSC UP TGT Result 2026: The Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC) has officially declared the final written exam results for the Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) Recruitment. Issued under Advertisement Number 01/2022 against 3,539 vacancies across 15 subjects, the final result for 14 subjects (covering 2,982 posts) was released on 28 July 2026. Successful candidates will now move on to the institution allocation process, which will be carried out based on merit rank and candidate preference.

The final selection list and merit rank have been prepared in accordance with Rule 12(8) of the UP Secondary Education Services Selection Board Rules 1998 along with the category-wise cut-off criteria. Age Limit, Vacancy Details, and Qualification

Age Limit: The age limit for UP TGT Result 2026 is 21-60 Years. The cutoff date for the calculation of the age limit is 01.07.2022. (Use Age Calculator). Age Relaxation will be given as per the rules.

How to Check UP TGT Result 2026

Follow these simple steps to check your selection status:

• Visit the official portal at upessc.up.gov.in.
• Click on the “UP TGT Final Result 2026 (Advt. 01/2022)” link on the homepage.
• Select your respective subject (e.g., Mathematics, Science, Social Science, Hindi, etc.) to open the result PDF.
• Use Ctrl + F to search for your Roll Number or Name in the merit list.
• To check marks and individual cut-off, log in with your Roll Number and Date of Birth on the scorecard portal.
• Save and download the selection list for future reference.

Status of UP TGT English Result 2026

Important Note: The final selection result for 557 posts of TGT English under Advt. No. 01/2022 has been kept on hold. This decision comes in light of pending legal proceedings under Writ Petition No. 9799/2026 filed before the Hon’ble High Court regarding objections against the Final Answer Key. The result for English subject will be released separately after the final judicial outcome.

UP TGT Institution Allocation Process

Candidates who have been declared successful in the final selection list will be assigned educational institutions as per Rule 12(10) of the UP Secondary Education Services Selection Board Rules 1998. Allocation will strictly depend on:

• The candidate’s final merit position.
• The candidate’s submitted preference order.
• The category-wise availability of vacant seats in allocated institutions.

UP TGT Result 2026 Cut Off Marks

The subject-wise and category-wise cut-off marks alongside individual marks obtained in the written exam have been published on the official web portal. Candidates can view their subject cut-off and individual score by entering their Roll Number and Date of Birth on the portal link. This facility will remain active for 01 week from the declaration date.
