Eligibility Criteria

Before filling out the online application form, ensure you meet all the required criteria:

1. School Type: The applicant must be studying in a Government or Government-Aided School in Haryana.
2. Previous Academic Record: Must have passed Class 7 from a government/aided school with at least 55% marks.
3. Family Income: Combined annual family income from all sources must be less than ₹3,50,000.
4. Exclusions: Students enrolled in Kendriya Vidyalayas (KV), Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNV), Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas (KGBV), residential schools, or private schools are not eligible.
5. Attempts: Students can appear for this examination only once and must not have failed Class 8.

Exam Structure & Syllabus

The examination will be conducted on November 29, 2026, by the Board of School Education Haryana (BSEH), Bhiwani. The test consists of multiple-choice questions (MCQs) administered on OMR sheets, with no negative marking for incorrect answers.

Reservation Policy

Reservation benefits are provided as per Haryana State Government norms at the district level:

• Scheduled Castes (SC): 20%
• Backward Classes – Block A (BC-A): 16%
• Backward Classes – Block B (BC-B): 11%
• Persons with Disabilities (PwD): 3%
• General / Unreserved: Remaining seats

Note: To claim reservation, candidates must upload a valid category certificate issued by a competent authority during online registration. Unverified applicants will be categorized under the General category.

1. Aadhaar Data Matching: Ensure your date of birth match the details on your Aadhaar card exactly. The same details will be verified on the National Scholarship Portal (NSP).
2. NSP Portal Registration: Passing the NMMSS exam places you on the merit list, but to receive the funds, selected candidates must register on the National Scholarship Portal (scholarships.gov.in) around June/July 2027.
3. Income Certificate Verification: Selected students must submit an income certificate verified by an SDM/Tehsildar to their District Education Officer/District Coordinator to receive the scholarship.
