SSC CGL 2025: SSC Allows Candidates to View, Store and Review Question Papers Along with Responses and Correct Answers

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has introduced a big reform for lakhs of aspirants of the Combined Graduate Level Examination (CGL) 2025. After completing the Tier 1 exam, SSC has announced that all 13.5 lakh candidates who appeared for the test will be allowed to view, store and review their question papers, responses and the correct answers. This facility will be available from October 15, 2025.

Answer Key Challenge at Lower Fee

Candidates will also have the option to challenge the answer keys with proper evidence. The challenge fee has now been reduced to just ₹50, which was earlier higher. After raising the challenge, aspirants can also keep copies of their responses for personal use.

Access to Past Papers for Practice

To further help aspirants, SSC has decided to publish selected past question papers as official sample sets at regular intervals. This will give authentic study material to candidates and ensure better preparation while keeping upcoming exams confidential.

Transparency and Candidate Welfare

According to SSC, these reforms will make exams more transparent, secure and convenient for lakhs of aspirants across the country. A senior officer from the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) said that the reforms balance exam integrity with candidate welfare, ensuring that genuine candidates do not face unfair problems.

Handling Complaints and Technical Issues

The commission received 18,920 submissions on its candidate feedback portal. After cross-checking reported technical disruptions with digital footprints, SSC allowed genuinely affected candidates to retake the exam.

Some cases of malpractice, like attempts to take the exam through remote access, were detected. In cases where malpractice could not be confirmed, candidates will still get another chance to appear in the re-exam on October 14, 2025. This re-exam also includes candidates affected by the fire incident at a Mumbai exam centre.

Conclusion

These reforms by SSC are a major relief for candidates. By allowing them to review questions, challenge answer keys at a lower fee, and retake exams in genuine cases of disruption, SSC has taken a big step towards fairness, transparency and candidate-friendly exams.
